The following was sent in to us by Lucia from Warwick Surf after their weekend tour at Ocean Backpackers, Ilfracombe.
"This was the best hostel we have ever stayed in.
Chris and Abby own the hostel and were easy to talk to and made booking the accommodation easy and stress free. They were more than happy to answer any questions i had and were easy to contact while i was there whenever i had any questions.
Ivan was the new new manager, so he was with us during our stay. He was friendly and welcoming and we really enjoying including him in our fun. He helped me with any questions i had about the local area and made sure we were comfortable.
All the bedrooms and bathrooms were of a good size and very comfortable and clean. With such a large group we were interested in having a larger room that we could all congregate in, which there was. This common room was comfortable and had some fun games in it, as well as some speakers that we were allowed to use.
Its location is approximately 20 minutes drive from the sea which made transport easy. Next to the hostel there were some corner shops that supplied us with all we would need, as well as a large Lidl 15 minutes drive away.
The best thing about this hostel was how welcoming and chilled it was. With such a larger group we have had problems we have had problems in the past but we were allowed to do whatever we wanted, which made our stay unforgettable and easily out best tour as a surf club.
We can't wait to go back here, and i'm sure anyone who goes to this hostel will easily have as much fun as we had."
