The Birsay Outdoor Centre is situated in the northwest corner of the Orkney mainland, in close proximity to spectacular and varied coastline scenery and beaches.
Nearby at the Brough of Birsay you can see the remains of early Christian and Norse settlements on a tidal island. You can also visit Orkney’s 5,500 year old Neolithic Heartland which has World Heritage Status and includes the Ring of Brodgar. Close by are the Standing Stones of Stenness, the tomb of Maeshowe and, in Sandwick, the well-preserved village of Skara Brae.
The Centre offers comfortable accommodation, with all new furniture, beds and appliances. It sleeps up to 30 in 5 bedrooms; family rooms are available and all linen is provided. It has a well equipped kitchen, dining area, lounge, drying room and disabled access.
Camping available (20 pitches).
