Ace York

English Hostels, Bunkhouses and Camping Barns

Ace Hotel York is situated in Micklegate, the oldest part of York and its main entrance. This grand Grade 1 Georgian building was built in 1752 as a ‘Town House’ for the very wealthy John Bouchier of Bennigborough Hall. The Hotel has many impressive features including a stone flagged entrance hall leading to a grand carved sweeping staircase. With its panel rooms, vaulted cellar & fabulous Rococo ceiling depicting Shakesphere & Newtons Heads, the hotel holds a wealth of history and architecture.

The oak beamed basement holds a television lounge, games room & sauna which leads onto a private courtyard. Ace Hotel York is the top end of budget accommodation.

The Hotel is situated only 5 minutes form the main train station and rests within York city walls. It offers fantastic views of York including the oldest Gothic Cathedral (the Minster) and is surrounded by the walls themselves. This city centre hotel offers a number of budget rooms & dormitories all with exquisite views.
