This friendly hostel is centrally situated in the heart of Zermatt at the foot of the famous Matterhorn mountain, from which it takes its name.
It makes an excellent base for a skiing holiday in the winter months and is close to the ski lifts.
Matterhorn Hostel is a traditional Swiss chalet-style building which provides basic, comfortable and cosy accommodation.
There is an international atmosphere and the staff are young and helpful.
The hostel is clean, comfortable and safe with a bar, restaurant and a pay phone.
Showers are free and lockers are provided in all rooms.
A TV and internet terminal are available for guests to use.
In total, Matterhorn Hostel can sleep 56 people and rooms have either 2, 4, 5, 6 or 8 beds.
There is no lockout and no curfew.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available on request.

From the train station, walk up the main street. Turn left by the church and cross a large bridge. After the bridge, go to the right and the hostel is on the right hand side after about 200 metres. |
