Built around 1780, the Old Mill building was used as part of a brewery which has now long since closed down.
It is located just off one of the many side alleys of James Street and was part of an old network of warehouses that were known as the “Shambles” in the last century.
The Old Mill Hostel is owned and run by the Carr family who try their best to offer every visitor a warm and friendly welcome.
Westport is an ideal base for your holiday as it is situated in the shadow of Croagh Patrick and by the shores of Clew Bay.
The town is very attractive with a small tidy street plan which has the Carrowbeg river flowing through it’s tree lined Mall.
As the base for your holiday, the wonders of the West of Ireland, with its wild and dramatic scenery, are only a few short miles away from the heart of Westport, where you can spend many safe and happy evenings.
